  University of Victoria Transgender Archives

  The Transgender Archives at the University of Victoria is committed to the preservation of the history of pioneering activists, community leaders, and researchers who have contributed to the betterment of trans, non-binary, and Two-Spirit people. Since 2007, we have been actively acquiring documents, rare publications, and memorabilia of persons and organizations associated with activism by and for trans, non-binary, and Two-Spirit people. Our records span over 160 meters or 530 linear feet (1.5 football fields long), go back over 120 years, and are in 15 languages from 23 countries on six continents. Our collections comprise the largest trans archives in the world. We are accessible to everyone, free of charge.

  Sexual Minorities Archives

  The Sexual Minorities Archives (SMA) collects, preserves, protects, and makes accessible the literature, history, and art of all sexual and gender minorities of all races and ethnicities, including transsexuals, transgender persons, lesbians, gays, bisexuals, intersex persons, queers, gender-queers, cross-dressers, BDSM/leather folk, asexuals, polyamorists, celibates, and other emerging sexual minority groups. The SMA is national in scope and is one of the oldest and largest LGBTQI archives in the United States. The SMA seeks to inform, educate, and inspire the LGBTQI community and our allies to understand the unique stories and experiences associated with our lives and our struggles for equality.

  The Grove Press Film Collection @ Harvard Film Archive

  After 1970 Grove Press scaled back its film distribution; the Film Division was dissolved and its film holdings disbanded in 1985, when the Press was sold. The material that was later donated to the HFA comprises approximately 164 titles—35mm and 16mm projection prints, original elements and trailers—dating from the 1910s to the 1970s. The collection represents Grove Press’ ambition to promote non-mainstream cinema that pushes both formal and topical boundaries.

  The Arthur and Elizabeth Schlesinger Library on the History of Women in America documents the lives of women of the past and present for the future and furthers the Radcliffe Institute's commitment to women, gender, and society.

  The History Project Boston

  The History Project is the only organization focused exclusively on documenting and preserving the history of New England’s LGBTQ communities and sharing that history with LGBTQ individuals organizations allies and the public.

  Queer Zine Archive Project

  The Queer Zine Archive Project (QZAP) was first launched in November 2003 in an effort to preserve queer zines and make them available to other queers researchers historians punks and anyone else who has an interest DIY publishing and underground queer communities. Our mission statement has been consistent over the past nine years: 'The mission of the Queer Zine Archive Project (QZAP) is to establish a 'living history' archive of past and present queer zines and to encourage current and emerging zine publishers to continue to create. In curating such a unique aspect of culture we value a collectivist approach that respects the diversity of experiences that fall under the heading 'queer.' The primary function of QZAP is to provide a free on-line searchable database of the collection with links allowing users to download electronic copies of zines. By providing access to the historical canon of queer zines we hope to make them more accessible to diverse communities and reach wider audiences.'
